Marcia's  Bio  

As Associate Director of the Health Careers Pathways Program, K-12, University of Kansas Medical Center, it is my privilege to develop outreach, enrichment programs in science, math, technology, leadership and health careers for target Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools.

The collaborative work with Kansas City, Kansas Community College, Kauffman Scholars Inc., Dykes Medical Library, St. Lukes Hospital, Swope Health Center and Storytellers Inc. Artist Collectives has grown from 20 students to 1500 students per year. Organic Gardens, Urban Poetry, Medical and Research Internships,  Science and Math Saturday Academy, Summer Science Residential Academy are the programs included in the KCK Urban Academy model.

Adult and youth Cultural Competency Training using interactive arts education.

Youth Leadership Development for urban populations.
